Overview
Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Foundation Trust and Midlands Partnership Foundation Trust have a partnership to provide high-quality care to patients as close to home as possible. The partnership is nationally recognised as a leading New Care Model and highly commended by the Health Service Journal. The role is to lead a full multi-disciplinary team, influence strategic decision-making, drive improvement projects and foster joint working as part of Saint Andrews Birmingham Secure Services and the REACH OUT partnership. The post may include research opportunities as part of St Andrews’ commitment to innovation and world-class care. The vacancy is in Low Secure Services but is flexible for the right candidate. The Birmingham site also offers opportunities to deliver value-based healthcare focused on clinical outcomes.
The charity emphasises using up-to-date data on outcomes to continuously adapt care to meet patient needs, following recommendations of the International Consortium for Health Outcome Measures. We are also leading in using data to inform safety and care.
Responsibilities
* Lead a full multi-disciplinary team and contribute to strategic decision-making, improvement projects and joint working within Saint Andrews Birmingham Secure Services and the REACH OUT partnership.
* Undertake research projects as part of St Andrews’ commitment to innovation and world-class care.
* Support the development of the Low Secure Services and participate in ongoing service improvements.
* Deliver value-based healthcare with a focus on clinical outcomes.
Location, duties and conditions
Location: Birmingham. The post holder will be required to undertake on-call duties on a rota basis (currently one week in six weeks).
Full-time post (37.5 hours per week). The post attracts a competitive salary with travel allowance, sickness policy on par with NHS, 41 days annual leave, car lease scheme, free parking, cycle to work scheme, relocation allowance subject to status, ongoing CPD and more.
Qualifications
* MRCPsych or equivalent
* CCT in Forensic or General Adult Psychiatry
