Overview:
We are currently seeking an experienced Highways Site Agent to join a major infrastructure programme delivering works under the National Highways Scheme Delivery Framework (SDF) in the North East. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a long-term framework, contributing to the delivery of essential highway improvements and maintenance schemes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee day-to-day site operations ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and within budget
* Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams effectively
* Ensure full compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards
* Coordinate with the project management team to ensure programme milestones are achieved
* Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
* Produce and manage site documentation including RAMS, permits, and progress reports
* Liaise with stakeholders including National Highways representatives and local authorities
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Site Agent on highways or major infrastructure projects
* Previous experience working on National Highways frameworks (SDF xxuwjjq experience highly desirable)
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* SMSTS
* CSCS (Black)
* First Aid certification
* Knowledge of NEC contracts
* Full UK driving licence
