Steer Automotive Group is looking for an experienced and highly organised Workshop Controller to lead workshop operations in our Bellshill site. This is a key role focused on managing workflow, maximising efficiency, and ensuring every repair meets the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
14. Oversee daily workshop activity to ensure repairs are completed on time and to specification
15. Allocate work to technicians based on skills, workload, and job priority
16. Monitor repair progress, productivity, and quality standards
17. Resolve workflow or technical issues quickly and effectively
18. Liaise with parts, VDA, and customer service teams to keep repairs moving smoothly
19. Maintain a safe, compliant, and well-organised workshop environment
Requirements
20. Proven experience as a Workshop Controller, Senior Technician, or similar role within an accident repair/bodyshop environment
21. Strong leadership and team coordination skills
22. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
23. Solid understanding of bodyshop repair processes and operations
24. Highly organised with the ability to perform under pressure
