The Position
Due to continued business growth and our advancing project portfolio, Vulcain Engineering UK are seeking to expand our technical team within the Electrical Engineering discipline. We are looking to hire Electrical Engineers across both experienced and senior levels, to join us on a permanent basis and to play an integral part in UK nuclear new build infrastructure.
Responsibilities
The scope of these positions, whilst differing slightly in depending on area and seniority, will be to provide client-side representation for the management of all electrical documentation, reviewing models, and validating design changes. You’ll work closely with multi-disciplinary teams and a wide range of stakeholders to ensure design compliance and successful delivery across complex nuclear programmes.
* Taking responsibility for electrical deliverables within the client design offices on UK nuclear new build projects

* Coordinating with vendors and suppliers on the technical and contractual aspects of electrical equipment
* Supporting contract execution and ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and budget requirements
* Providing technical input and support to site-based activities when needed
* Building strong working relationships with client stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery
Preferred Profile
* Degree-qualified (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
* Experience in the design, coordination, or review of electrical systems within large-scale infrastructure or industrial projects
* Familiarity with reviewing technical documentation, drawings, and 3D models
* Knowledge of electrical equipment specifications and vendor/supplier coordination
* Experience supporting contract management for electrical equipment (such as cabling, cabinets, or distribution systems), including coordination with vendors and suppliers
* Ability or interest in managing scope, schedule, and cost within an engineering project context
* Effective communication skills with the ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team and interface with stakeholders
* Chartered, or desire to work towards professional chartership, with support available to progress further
* Reside locally to Bristol or be prepared to relocate, as this permanent role does not include travel expense coverage.
Visa Sponsorship
Please note that visa sponsorship is not guaranteed and is assessed on a case‑by‑case basis, depending on role criticality and project needs. Many of our UK projects require high‑level security clearance, meaning we can often only consider candidates with an existing, indefinite right to work in the UK. Exceptionally, we may consider visa sponsorship for applicants with niche experience aligned to our core work (e.g. EPR/nuclear new build).

We also offer a benefits package, both standard and enhanced, which is designed to support your wellbeing, development, and financial future, including:
* 25 Days Annual Leave + Bank Holidays, with the ability to swap bank holidays for cultural or religious celebrations
