M&E Coordinator Location: Various Project Locations (UK & Ireland) Department: Operations Reports To: Operations Director Contract: Permanent, Full-Time The Role Due to continued growth, our client is seeking an experienced M&E Coordinator to support the delivery of high-value hotel and commercial construction and fit-out projects across the UK and Ireland. The successful candidate will act as the Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) lead across multiple projects, coordinating design, installation and commissioning activities while ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with programme requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong and commercially aware professional who enjoys working collaboratively with project teams, subcontractors and clients to deliver high-quality construction projects. Key Responsibilities Review project documentation from an M&E perspective, identifying requirements, risks and opportunities for improvement Coordinate the M&E design process with subcontractors, consultants and client teams Manage M&E elements of both live construction projects and tender submissions Lead and coordinate M&E subcontractors, providing technical support to project teams Work closely with tender and project teams to ensure designs are developed in line with project expectations Ensure detailed programmes are prepared and agreed with designers, consultants and subcontractors responsible for M&E works Integrate M&E design, installation and commissioning programmes into the overall project programme Monitor project progress and update programmes where required Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with Health & Safety and quality procedures Liaise with clients, designers, subcontractors and suppliers throughout the project lifecycle Provide technical input to procurement teams to support the sourcing of materials and specialist subcontractors Support project teams on-site to ensure successful delivery of M&E elements across projects Manage the testing and commissioning process and ensure all handover documentation is completed Communicate regularly with commercial and operational teams regarding project progress and changes Contribute to continuous improvement across processes and practices within the organisation Essential Criteria Significant recent experience in a similar M&E Coordination role within a fast-paced construction environment Strong knowledge of construction practices and the ability to review designs and identify cost-saving opportunities Good working knowledge of Health & Safety legislation within the construction industry Experience managing and coordinating subcontractors Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships with colleagues, clients and stakeholders Strong organisational skills and attention to detail Proficient in Microsoft Office and general IT systems Ability to work both independently and as part of a wider project team Proactive and flexible approach with the ability to adapt to changing project requirements Experience producing reports and updates for senior management Working Pattern Full-time permanent role Project-based travel across the UK and Ireland may be required depending on project location Whats on Offer Competitive salary package Opportunity to work on high-value hotel and commercial construction projects Strong long-term career progression within a growing organisation Ongoing training and development opportunities Comprehensive employee benefits package including: Life Assurance Private Medical Insurance Income Protection Company Pension Scheme Company Sick Pay Policy Holiday Buy Scheme Long Service Awards Additional Annual Leave with Length of Service Wellbeing Programme Enhanced Family Friendly Policies (including maternity and paternity) This is a strong opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor seeking stability, responsibility, and involvement across varied building projects.
