We are seeking a dedicated CT Technologist to provide diagnostic imaging services to patients using advanced imaging modalities. You will ensure accurate image acquisition, prioritize patient safety, and deliver optimal patient care while effectively educating patients about procedures.
Responsibilities
* Perform complex tasks associated with CT scanner operations and related equipment, adhering to radiation safety protocols.
* Position patients for CT scans and utilize protective equipment as necessary.
* Execute exams according to Imaging Department Protocols or specific protocols developed with the Radiologist.
* Assist radiologists with routine and interventional CT procedures.
* Evaluate CT scans for technical quality and label images appropriately.
* Administer oral contrast and demonstrate proficiency in IV placement and contrast administration.
* Troubleshoot equipment issues and maintain accurate patient records in the EHR system.
* Participate in departmental and organizational meetings and contribute to performance improvement initiatives.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
* Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
* ARRT registration in Radiology (R) with CT experience.
* Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or must obtain within 90 days of hire).
* Two years of prior experience as a practicing CT Technologist.
* Cross-training in other modalities, such as MRI, DEXA, and Mammography, is preferred.
