Responsibilities
* Undertake contact tracing/interviews of acute respiratory infections and other specified infectious diseases.
* Provide support to care homes and other high‑risk settings on the maintenance of infection prevention and control measures and offer advice when managing Covid‑19 incidents in line with national requirements.
* Carry out advisory visits to care homes, nurseries, pre‑school settings, premises providing special procedures to promote compliance with infection prevention and control measures and other health protection requirements.
* Assist in the investigation of other incidents and outbreaks under the guidance of environmental health and health protection specialists.
* Participate in and support wider health protection work across the Public Protection Division, where appropriate, e.g., conducting surveys; assisting in monitoring and surveillance exercises; assisting in the dissemination of information and advice; and providing guidance.
