Our client specialises in Cost & Project Management, you can expect to work on high-end residential developments, hotels, large-scale Industrial units, distilleries, leisure projects, master planning of new developments, etc. With a strong presence and reputation in both Edinburgh and Glasgow, they pride themselves on delivering a high-quality service to their clients, which has encouraged repeat business from their blue-chip clients. As they continue to expand, they are seeking a talented and motivated Quantity Surveyor to join their team in either office, they have a top notch APC programme with a 100% pass rate to date.
Skills:
* Conducting feasibility studies
* Preparing detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documents.
* Evaluating contractor bids and negotiating contracts to ensure competitive pricing.
* Monitoring project progress and financial performance against budgets, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions as necessary.
* Managing change orders and variations to contracts, assessing their impact on project costs and timelines.
* Providing cost advice and value engineering solutions to optimise project outcomes.
* Liaising with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors to resolve cost-related issues and mitigate risks.
* Participating in project meetings and presenting cost reports and forecasts to stakeholders.
* Keeping abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices in quantity surveying and cost management.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying
* 3+ years of experience working as a Quantity Surveyor in a private practice
* Proficiency in quantity surveying software and MS Office suite.
* Strong analytical and numerical skills, with attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
On Offer:
* Depending on experience; £40,000 - £45,000 per annum
