Job Title: Quality Assurance Team Leader / Supervisor - Food Manufacturing Location: B10, Birmingham Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 / Negotiable Contract: Full-Time / Permanent About Us: We are a leading food manufacturing business, specialising who are committed to delivering the highest standards of quality, food safety, and product integrity. We’re looking for a Quality Assurance Supervisor / Team Leader to lead our QA team, maintain compliance with regulatory and customer standards, and drive continuous improvement across our site. This is a key role in promoting a quality-first culture and ensuring all products meet our exacting standards. What You’ll Do: Supervise and coach the QA team to ensure consistent high-quality output. Lead investigations into non-conformances and implement corrective actions (CAPA). Perform root cause analysis using FMEA, 5 Whys, and Fishbone diagrams. Conduct risk assessments and monitor raw materials, packaging, and production. Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with internal, customer, and regulatory requirements. Support internal, customer, and third-party audits. Drive process improvements to reduce waste, increase efficiency, and enhance product quality. Ensure all aspects of food safety, legality, quality, and product authenticity are observed. What We’re Looking For: GCSEs or equivalent; HACCP Level 3 and Food Safety Level 3. Previous experience in food manufacturing and supervising a team. Strong knowledge of quality processes, food safety standards, and operational procedures. Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and analytical thinking.
