One in ten people are known to experience some level of mental ill health in society, our experienced team work alongside people bringing together a plan of support, skills development, independence, developing new friendships and new experiences, develop essential life skills, coping strategies, and make the most of the support their community can offer.

The role requires an enthusiastic, motivated and person-centred individual with a passion to work as a part of our team, leading high quality services across our Mental Health Hub. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with drive and determination to succeed. We have the privilege of supporting people on their journey of recovery, helping to find ways to manage their mental health problems while keeping them involved in any decisions made about their support.

About the role:

Working as a Team Leader in Bolton Cares, you have experience leading teams within the health and social care sector, and you will strive to create, lead and develop a positive, open and 'can do' culture. We would particularly welcome applications from people with experience supporting complex mental ill health. If you can inspire individuals to fulfil their potential and to provide high quality, person-centred support, then this is the role for you.

You will have experience supporting individuals who may have a mental ill health condition, such as psychosis, schizophrenia or personality disorder, who are experiencing short term crisis or long standing complex mental ill health. You will be supporting people who are experiencing a point in their lives where having skilled and caring support is needed within either our non-clinical crisis setting, our recovery setting or our supported living settings. You will be resilient and be able to remain calm in situations that may challenge you. Support will be driven by making sure we work with people's strengths and work towards achieving positive development outcomes. You will support people in every area of life, including accessing their local community, attending appointments, with meal preparation, maintaining their living environment, medication management, budgeting etc.

Fulfilling the role in a person's life with a never give up approach, your role will compliment that of a wider mental health support network, working alongside GMMH Community Mental Health Teams / Home based Treatment Teams.

The service operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and you will work flexibly to meet the needs of the people we support, our teams and our services.

Experience and skills required:

· Minimum two years' experience leading teams within the health and social care sector.

· Minimum two years' experience supporting complex mental ill health.

· Experience in assessing referrals to a service, including screening and creation of support documents

· Able to listen with patience and compassion, highly motivated to deliver outstanding care and support.

· Understand that people communicate in different ways

· Ability to remain calm in your approach when a person is in crisis

· Flexible and adaptable to change in unpredictable situations

· A positive, upbeat personality that gives out good vibes and shows resilience, with a drive to motivate others to be their best

· Good communication skills, both verbal and written

* Ability to use a computer, IT literate and able to adapt to various recording and reporting systems
* Ability to develop supportive relationships, promoting independence and wellbeing.
* Must be able to drive and have access to a vehicle

Responsibilities:

· Taking a lead role in ensuring support is person centred, with people's needs at the heart of all we do, being driven to make a difference to people's lives

· Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with existing key stakeholders

· Ensuring compliance in line with CQC regulations and local contracts

· Completion of probations, supervision and appraisals within your team

· Completing observations of working practices within your team

· Allocation of training and development opportunities to your team

· Planning and preparing rota systems which deliver efficient, person-centred support

· Ensuring health and safety compliance

· Quality auditing of finances, medications and daily records

· Updating and upkeep of support plans and risk assessments

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £28,511.42 per year
