Contract Duration - 6 months from start
Location - On site in Oxfordshire
QC Chemist Technician
A growing pharmaceutical and life‑science manufacturing environment is seeking a QC Chemist Technician to support routine quality control testing and ensure products meet strict regulatory and internal quality standards. This role is ideal for someone with hands‑on analytical experience—particularly with HPLC—and a strong commitment to accuracy, compliance, and laboratory best practice.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform routine and non‑routine analytical testing on raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.
* Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot HPLC systems and other analytical instruments.
* Prepare samples, reagents, and documentation in accordance with GMP and laboratory procedures.
* Record, interpret, and report analytical data with a high level of accuracy.
* Support method execution, method verification, and equipment qualification activities.
* Ensure all work complies with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
* Participate in laboratory housekeeping, stock management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Collaborate with QC colleagues to resolve analytical issues and maintain workflow efficiency.
Candidate Profile
* Experience working in a GMP, pharmaceutical, biotech, or chemical QC laboratory.
* Strong practical experience with HPLC operation and data interpretation.
* Familiarity with additional analytical techniques (e.g., GC, UV‑Vis, titration) is beneficial.
* Excellent attention to detail and strong documentation skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
* Strong problem‑solving skills and a proactive approach to laboratory tasks.
