Are you passionate about empowering the next generation of Electricians? We're looking for a dynamic and dedicated Electrical Lecturer to deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment at Levels 1 and 2 within our thriving Construction faculty at the Abingdon Campus.

Responsibilities:
* Deliver engaging, high-quality lessons in Electrical Installation (Levels 1 and 2) that align with awarding body and industry standards.
* Plan, prepare and evaluate theory and workshop-based sessions, integrating real-world applications and current safety regulations.
* Design and deliver practical assessments and tasks that reflect modern installation techniques and industry expectations.
* Support learners both academically and pastorally, acting as a mentor and class advisor to help them reach their full potential.
* Maintain high standards in the electrical workshop, including rig setup, equipment management, and ensuring all activities are conducted safely and effectively.
* Conduct formative and summative assessments, including practical observations and on-site evaluations where required.
* Liaise with industry partners to embed employability and current best practices into the curriculum.
* Coordinate exam entries, maintain course documentation, and contribute to ongoing curriculum development and internal quality assurance.
* Play a key role in ensuring retention, achievement, and positive learner outcomes across the programme.
Essential Experience:
* Recognised qualification in Electrical Installation (e.g. City & Guilds 2365/2330, NVQ Level 3 and Achievement Measurement 2 - AM2).
* Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, or Level 5 Diploma in Education & Training) OR willingness to work towards one.
* Up-to-date knowledge of current electrical practices, tools, and safety standards (including 18th Edition).
* Experience delivering practical and theoretical electrical content, ideally at Levels 1 and 2.
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage course documentation and assessments effectively.
* A passion for teaching and the ability to motivate and inspire learners.
* Commitment to safeguarding, equality, and the values of the FE sector.
Desirable Experience:
* Assessor qualification (TAQA, A1 or equivalent) and/or IQA experience.
* Experience working in Further Education or a training provider setting.
* Background in liaising with employers or industry bodies to enhance curriculum relevance.
* Ability to contribute to curriculum design, workshop improvements, and continuous quality improvement.
* Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g. IET).
