IT Support Engineer
Office-based | 36-hour week
Our client is a well-established engineering-led organisation seeking a proactive and technically capable IT Support Engineer to join the business in a key, hands-on role. Reporting into the Facilities and Procurement function, you will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and developing the company's IT and telecommunications systems, ensuring reliable, secure, and efficient day-to-day operations.
This is a varied position combining IT support, systems administration, project involvement, database management, and fleet coordination, making it ideal for an IT professional who enjoys a broad remit, a high level of ownership, and close collaboration with stakeholders across the business.
Key Responsibilities
1st & 2nd line IT support (on-site & remote)
Support Windows/macOS, Microsoft 365, and Active Directory
Maintain networks (LAN/WAN, VPN, Wi‑Fi) and VoIP systems
Manage hardware & software assets and licensing compliance
Support core business systems (including Sage & Alphalogix)
Assist with IT projects and infrastructure upgrades
Maintain IT documentation and liaise with external suppliers
Support the company car fleet administration
Key Requirements
Proven IT support or system administration experience
Strong knowledge of Windows/macOS & Microsoft 365
Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN)
Experience with Active Directory and backup solutions
Good problem-solving and communication skills
Certifications (desirable): CompTIA, Microsoft, ITIL
