A bit about what you will do...
* Keeping the General Managers and Hotel
Managers informed of any situation that could pose a risk or result in loss to
the company, either through direct observation or reported information.
* Responsible for advising and
guiding General Managers, Hotel Managers, and Heads of Departments on matters
relating to health and safety compliance.
* Guide the General Managers and
Hotel Managers in conducting regular reviews and inspections of the Health
& Safety, Fire Safety, and Food Safety Operating Manuals.
* Monitor and verify that hotel risk assessment registers are adequate and
compliant ith safety policies and regulations.
* Guide each hotel’s management team to ensure that risk assessments and
other safety documentation are accurate, up to date, and approved by the
General Managers and Hotel Managers.
* Inspect the completion of daily
tasks within the Safety Management System (SMS) at each hotel and review
non-compliance and gaps with the General Manager/Hotel Manager monthly, or more
frequently if required.
* Responsible for monitoring the completion of action plans resulting
from fire, food safety, and health and safety audits, ensuring that all
outstanding tasks are addressed and resolved.
* When
on site, they will attend monthly health and safety meetings across their
hotels.
* Conduct quarterly inspections of
safety folders, including departmental folders and the fire safety book.
* Conduct training needs analyses to
identify gaps in health and safety knowledge and training among Heads of
Departments and collaborate with the Talent and Culture team to address them.
* Review health and safety
documentation for contractors and external caterers when required, excluding
engineering contractors, which fall under the Chief Engineer’s responsibility.
* Ensure that all work-related
injuries, near misses, and RIDDOR-reportable incidents are properly
investigated by the responsible managers. They will also advise the General
Managers on necessary improvements, including updates to relevant risk assessments.
* Liaise regularly with the Health
& Safety Manager and external consultants on all safety-related matters.
* Responsible for reporting any significant health and safety
non-compliance issues to the Health and Safety Manager in a timely and accurate
manner.
* Conduct company health and safety
inductions for all new Heads of Departments, Hotel Managers, and General
Managers.
* When on site, they will participate in
external health, fire, and food safety audits and inspections conducted by
consultants or authorities.

of Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (desirable)
* Proven
experience in a multi-site health & safety role, preferably in
hospitality
* Strong
understanding of UK H&S legislation (Health and Safety at Work etc.
Act 1974 and associated regulations)
* Proficient
in Microsoft package and Health and Safety software
* Excellent
communication, influencing, and interpersonal skills
* Analytical
and detail-oriented with strong organisational abilities
* Ability
to work autonomously and prioritise workload across multiple properties
