Description The opportunity We are seeking an experienced Scrub Nurse (RN or EN) to join our theatre team at Panch Day Surgery Centre. This role is available on a part-time or casual basis, with a minimum commitment of two shifts per week, and the opportunity to increase hours as our surgical case volume continues to grow through 2026. This position is ideal for a scrub nurse who enjoys working in a well-organised, supportive day surgery environment and values consistency, teamwork, and high standards of patient care. Working within a multidisciplinary perioperative team, you will play a key role in delivering safe, efficient and compassionate care across a range of surgical procedures. In this role, you will: Deliver high-quality perioperative nursing care with a strong focus on scrub duties, patient safety and surgical excellence. Perform scrub/scout responsibilities across scheduled theatre lists. Work closely with surgeons, anaesthetists and theatre staff to ensure efficient case flow. Maintain strict adherence to infection control standards and accurate clinical documentation. Contribute positively to a collaborative, professional and respectful team culture. About you We’re looking for a scrub nurse who is clinically confident, organised, and calm in the theatre environment, with a strong commitment to safe surgical practice. You will bring: Current AHPRA registration as a Registered or Enrolled Nurse. Demonstrated scrub/scout experience in a perioperative setting (essential). Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary theatre team. A high level of attention to infection control, WHS and quality standards.
