Job Title: Young Adult Support Worker - Residential Specialist SchoolLocation: Meldreth, HertfordshireSalary: £12.87 - £14.03 per hour (linked to competency and qualifications) PLUS £1500 Welcome bonus *Annual Salary: £26,769.60 - £29,182.40 per year for a 40 hour weekHours: 40 hours per week (part-time hours available, minimum 24hrs per week)Training: Full training provided and once passed probation we will support and fund studying the Level 3 diploma in Health and Social CareWe are currently seeking both qualified and unqualified Young Adult Support Workers to join an innovative provider of education and care for children, young people and adults with special educational needs and disabilities based in Meldreth, Hertfordshire.The role:Providing exceptional high levels of care during all daily activities such as washing, dressing, socialising, learning, washing/personal care.Assisting with therapy sessions such as hydrotherapy and rebound therapy.Communicating effectively and building strong relationships that will empower the children and young adults are free to grow and developEnsuring that the environment is safe, supportive and enjoyableHelping develop their learning and social skills wherever possibleExperience /Qualifications:If you do not already hold a qualification, willingness to work towards achieving Level 3 Diploma HSC (funded by our client).A robust, positive and creative approach in meeting the needs of children and young adults.Good interpersonal, communication and team working skills.High level of resilience and patienceThe ability to follow personal care routinesThe ability to work within a rota pattern that typically requires working every other weekend.Benefits:Full training and continued supportOpportunity to study the Level 3 diploma in Residential Child Care which will be funded by us!* Welcome bonus is payable in 2 payments - 50% following successful completion of probation and 50% after one year serviceDBS is paid for by usPart time hours available if required33 days holiday including bank holidaysLife assurance and pensionhealth cash back planCar lease schemeBike to work schemePerk boxFree parkingYou will have a chance to work with a supportive team whose common goal is to empower and support wherever is required.TPBN1_UKTJ
