They’re looking for a sharp, safety-conscious Operations Technician to join their East London facility and keep the heart of the plant beating — via the DCS system. What You’ll Do: * Take ownership of daily plant operations — monitor, inspect, and control plant parameters. * Keep everything running safely and efficiently, from startups to shutdowns. * Respond fast and smart to operational challenges — routine, deviation, or emergency. * Carry out first-line maintenance and fault-finding to keep downtime to a minimum. * Manage fuel and material deliveries — from offloading to documentation. * Support the Operations Supervisor with outages, projects, and continuous improvement initiatives. * Ensure compliance and safety are always front and centre — because you know shortcuts cost more than time. What You Bring: * NVQ Level 3 or time-served apprenticeship in engineering or process operations. * Proven experience in a continuous process or production environment. * Confident with DCS systems and first-line maintenance. * Strong analytical mindset — you can spot, solve, and prevent issues before they escalate. * Solid understanding of Safe Systems of Work, Permit to Work, and risk assessments. * A proactive attitude and genuine pride in operational excellence.
