About Us:
Huish Nurseries @ North Curry Primary School is a well-established, friendly nursery dedicated to providing high-quality care and education for children aged 6 months - 4 years old, open 50 weeks of the year from 8:00am- 6:00pm Monday to Friday.
We believe in creating a safe, stimulating, and fun environment where children can explore, learn, and develop at their own pace.
We are looking for candidates who are able to:
* Provide a warm, welcoming, and inclusive atmosphere for children and families.
* Plan and deliver engaging activities that support children's developmental milestones.
* Observe, assess, and record children's progress to ensure they are reaching their full potential.
* Promote positive behaviour and a supportive learning environment.
* Maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating setting, adhering to health and safety policies.
* Follow all safeguarding policies and procedures of the nursery
* Work collaboratively and enthusiastically with a team to ensure high standards of care and education.
* Communicate effectively with parents/carers, keeping them informed about their child's progress.
Requirements:
* Level 2 or 3 qualification in Early Years Education or Childcare (or equivalent).
* GCSEs in Maths and English are essential.
* Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting is desirable.
* Sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
* Strong communication skills and a caring, patient approach.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
* Paediatric first aid, a current safeguarding certificate and a food hygiene certificate are desirable.

Hours: 40 hours per week, all year-round flexible working hours between Monday – Friday. Hours 8am – 6pm across 4 days. Part time applications will be considered.
Salary: Grade 14 Point 4 currently £25,185 FTE (actual on 40 hours per week = £27,227 per annum), increasing to Grade 14 Point 6 currently £25,989 FTE (actual on 40 hours per week = £28,096 per annum) after a successful 6 months probation period.
Annual Leave: 5 weeks plus bank holidays
Contract term: Permanent/Full Time/ Part-time
