Responsibilities
You will be a key member of the MDT and collaborate with the team to determine the most appropriate routes for feeding critically ill patients, including enteral and parenteral feeding, and develop plans to reduce nutritional risks and manage their nutritional wellbeing.
You will provide a responsive dietetic service to the 16-bed CCU, working closely with the other CCU dietitian and liaising with other clinical teams across the hospital, especially nutrition nurses and the wider dietetic team.
You will lead on innovations and service improvement work that nutrition influences, attend meetings to promote and represent the dietetic service, and collaborate to develop policies, protocols, and guidelines in accordance with NICE guidance and the Guidelines for the Provision of Intensive Care Services.
You will provide training to the CCU workforce and advice to the wider healthcare team, and support the acute dietetic team lead in developing staff and support staff personal development plans.
