Role Overview
The HR Co-ordinator is responsible for supporting and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources function. This role ensures that HR processes run efficiently while maintaining compliance with employment legislation and internal policies.
Reporting Line
Reports to: Head of Technical and Compliance
Key Responsibilities
1. Support recruitment activities, including preparing job descriptions, posting advertisements, and assisting with the hiring process
2. Monitor employee performance and support management with performance-related decisions, including terminations where appropriate
3. Coordinate onboarding and induction processes for new employees
4. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records (e.g. attendance, compliance data) in line with legal and company requirements
5. Review employment terms and working conditions to ensure compliance with current legislation
6. Promote a positive and organised working environment for all employees
7. Assist in implementing structured staff development and training initiatives
8. Support the development and rollout of HR policies, procedures, and systems
9. Provide guidance to employees and managers on HR policies and procedures
10. Assist with performance management processes
11. Support the handling of employee relations matters, including disciplinary and grievance procedures
Skills & Experience Required
12. Previous experience in a similar HR role
13. CIPD Level 3 (or higher), or currently working towards qualification
14. Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
15. Experience across core HR functions (e.g. recruitment, pay & benefits, training & development)
16. Proven ability to manage employee relations cases from start to finish, including dismissals
17. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
18. High level of accuracy and attention to detail
19. Strong organisational and time management skills
20. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
21. Professional, reliable, and able to handle sensitive information with discretion
22. Strong team-working abilities
23. Full, valid driving licence and willingness to travel
