The Role We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and proactive Teaching Assistant for a long-term position. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside teachers to support pupils with ASD in their learning, social development, and wellbeing. While experience in a special school or ASD setting is highly valued, we are also very interested in hearing from candidates with a mainstream school background who can bring fresh ideas and approaches to the role of Teaching Assistant. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-to-one and small group support as a Teaching Assistant to pupils with ASD and additional needs. Work with teachers and other professionals to deliver tailored learning experiences. Foster positive relationships with pupils, promoting independence, confidence, and resilience. Support pupils' behaviour, wellbeing, and social development as a Teaching Assistant. Follow school policies and safeguarding procedures at all times. About You: Experience working with children or young people, either in a mainstream or special school setting, ideally as a Teaching Assistant. A compassionate, patient, and resilient approach suitable for a Teaching Assistant role. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively as a Teaching Assistant within the team.
