We're working with a consultancy that has just secured a new project and is looking to bring in an experienced Technical Lead/Full-Stack Developer to support delivery from the outset. This is a hands‑on role with a blend of technical leadership and active development, ideal for someone who enjoys setting standards while still being deep in the code.
The Role
You’ll play a key role in getting the project off the ground, owning initial technical and infrastructure setup, contributing to development, and providing light‑touch leadership across the team. This is a delivery‑focused environment where you’ll take on more complex tickets while helping to drive engineering best practice.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead initial technical and infrastructure setup to enable development
* Contribute heavily to hands‑on coding (c.80% of the role)
* Pick up and deliver complex development tickets
* Conduct code reviews and ensure high‑quality output
* Provide mentorship and guidance to other developers
* Set and maintain engineering standards and best practices
* Offer technical oversight (c.20% tech leadership)
Essential
* Strong experience with .NET (C#) and React
* Full‑stack development background in modern web applications
* Solid experience with SQL Server
* Experience setting up environments and infrastructure for new projects
* Comfortable contributing to complex coding tasks and leading by example
* Experience with code reviews and mentoring developers
Desirable
* Previous experience working within consultancy environments
* Exposure to greenfield project delivery
* Familiarity with cloud‑based infrastructure
The Details
* Contract role

* ~£500p/d
* Start date: 4th May
* Initial project with potential for extension
* Ideally, a day or two on site on a weekly basis, but flexibility around this.
