About The Role
We are looking for an experienced Business Development Director to join our client's team! The role requires you to identify and secure new business opportunities aligned with our strategy to meet our growth plans. You will build a strong pipeline of FM opportunities on a national level, develop, and close these opportunities. The ideal candidate will develop client-focused, achievable solutions and be a self-motivated, target-driven leader.
Responsibilities
* Win new business through consultative selling, negotiation, and securing new customers
* Build and maintain a network within strategic target industry sectors
* Identify and nurture customer opportunities nationally, adding value and expanding our customer portfolio
* Take ownership of your success by delivering sales excellence and developing opportunities independently
* Act as Brand Ambassador to increase company awareness and drive sales, positioning SBFM as the preferred supplier
* Collaborate with bid, estimating, and operations teams to develop competitive service solutions for tenders and presentations
* Manage the handover process from sales to operations and support contract mobilisation
* Maintain data integrity within the CRM system
Qualifications and Skills
* Strong understanding of solution selling and a consultative approach
* Ambitious and enthusiastic about personal and company growth
* Experience leading tender opportunities and closing deals
* Market knowledge and confidence derived from experience
* Ability to network with senior decision-makers and develop pipelines in targeted industries
