What you'll do: Maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of all kitchen areas, including floors, surfaces, equipment, and storage areas. Wash and sanitise crockery, cutlery, utensils, and cookware to the highest standards. Operate dishwashing equipment and ensure it's cleaned and maintained daily. Support basic food preparation tasks under direction of the chef or catering manager (e.g. salad prep, sandwich making, or setting up service areas). Handle deliveries, checking goods in and ensuring correct storage of food and non-food items. Manage waste and recycling responsibly in line with Sodexo's sustainability procedures. Follow daily and weekly cleaning schedules and complete related documentation. Refill condiments, beverages, and service items as needed in dining and kitchen areas. Ensure compliance with all Sodexo and client Health & Safety, Food Hygiene, and COSHH procedures. Work independently and take ownership of the kitchen area to ensure smooth service each day.
