Opportunity Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join their finance team in Cookstown on a 12-month maternity cover contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting the business with bank reconciliations, management accounts, VAT returns, and supplier invoice processing. Key Responsibilities Assist with monthly management accounts: fixed asset reconciliation, inter-company invoicing, journals, and analysis. Prepare month-end customer statements and manage direct debit collections. Bank reconciliations for multiple accounts in various currencies. Process supplier invoices for group companies. Ensure invoices are approved and paid in line with policies. Complete TSS, Intrastat, UK & Irish VAT returns, and EC Sales List. Provide reporting support and assist colleagues during busy periods. Carry out ad-hoc tasks/projects to meet deadlines. Desirable Criteria Accounting Technician qualification (desirable) or relevant experience. Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel. Fantastic attention to detail. Problem-solving ability and strong teamwork skills.
