About the role
This role is ideal for an experienced electrician looking for a long-term, stable move off the tools, or an electrician already involved in training, assessing, or mentoring.
You do not need to be a qualified teacher to apply.
The college will fully support electricians who are willing to train towards a recognised teaching qualification while in post.
You will be responsible for delivering practical and theory-based electrical installation training to learners preparing for careers as electricians.

Requirements
Essential:
*
Level 3 Electrical qualification (e.g. NVQ, City & Guilds)
*
GCSE Maths & English (or equivalent)
*
Industry experience as an electrician
*
Willingness to work towards a teaching qualification
Desirable (but not essential):
*
PGCE, QTS, QTLS, Cert Ed
*
Assessing or training experience
*
Teaching or mentoring electricians or apprentices

£40–44k – Qualified teachers (PGCE / QTS / QTLS)
*
£35–40k – Electricians working towards a teaching qualification
*
£31–34k – Strong industry electricians at Level 3
