Job Title: Support Worker Location: Hillingdon Hours: 40 hours Job Type: Permanent Pay: £30,000-£35,000 per annum (including sleep in shifts) Shift Pattern: 3 days on 4 days off across the week including weekends. This will be discussed further at interview stage We are looking for compassionate support workers to support two active young men with autism and learning difficulties in their own home. This is a privileged opportunity to work in an acclaimed bespoke setting alongside a small, experienced team committed to caring for these two young men. Your main goal will be to provide support to enable them to achieve what is important to them and improve their quality of life. This includes supporting them with a variety of activities such as cycling, horse riding, sailing, swimming, visiting Merlin attractions, volunteering at the National Trust, walking in the country and household chores. We are seeking staff who have a great sense of humour and are passionate about person centered support. The successful candidate should be flexible, patient, able to interpret the needs of non- verbal individuals, be professional and committed to ensuring that dignity and respect is always maintained. Ideally you will have some experience in autism, learning difficulties and diabetes, but this is not essential as full training will be provided. Health and wellbing: Ensuring clients health and wellbeing. Record Keeping : completing MAR charts, completing ABC charts, daily logs, time sheets and maintaining good communication records between staff Living skills: To maintain and develop the employers independent living skills. The successful candidate will support with light domestic duties around the house such as washing, cleaning, gardening, cooking and shopping with the clients. Supporting clients with personal care. Essential requirements Right to work in the UK Satisfactory DBS clearance Ability to work shifts/ weekends/ Bank Holidays on a rota basis Good level of English both written and spoken Good level of general fitness as role will involve outdoor activities Desirable requirements Some experience in care working with people with a learning disability Experience of autism and/or diabetes Clean UK driving license Basic computer and IT skills
