As an Optometrist Store Manager with us you’ll be providing excellent customer and patient care, as well as leading and inspiring your store team. You’ll create a culture where everyone is passionate about doing the right thing.
About the role
* Using your passion for delivering patient care you’ll work with colleagues to deliver a positive customer journey.
* Drive local plans for enhanced services and deliver towards P&L objectives.
* Bring your personality into the day‑to‑day running of the practice – working with and developing your team to provide the best service to patients.
* Build longstanding relationships – not only with colleagues and customers but with healthcare professionals in the local community.
What you’ll need to have
* Fully qualified GOC registered Optometrist
* Additional registration with the relevant NHS body
* Passion for patient care
* Leadership experience

We have an exciting internal secondment opportunity for an Optometrist Store Manager at Boots Opticians Warrington Golden Square, a busy flagship‑size store located in the heart of a thriving shopping centre. This is a fantastic role for an experienced Optometrist looking to develop or build on their leadership and management experience within a large, well‑established practice.
Key details
* Full‑time (37.5 hours)
* Temporary secondment
* Weekend working required (Saturday weekly or alternate Saturday & Sunday)
* Busy flagship‑size store with 4 testing rooms
* Recently refitted (September 2025)
* 25‑minute testing times
* Large, experienced team of 25 colleagues
* 4 phoropters plus OCT, Optomap, retinal imaging & visual fields
The practice
* Freestanding store (no Hearing Care)
* Offers MECS, cataract services, children’s screening & enhanced services
* High ASOV with a very mixed patient demographic
* Great opportunity to gain experience managing a large, high‑footfall store
About the area
* Located in Warrington town centre, Golden Square offers excellent transport links and a busy retail environment. Discounted staff parking is available, making it a convenient and accessible location to work.
This role is ideally suited to an experienced Optometrist. Newly qualified Optometrists may be considered if they have relevant management experience.
