About the role
IVC Evidensia is the UK and Europe's leading veterinary care group, made up of over 900 practices and referral hospitals, united by a shared purpose of happier animals, happier owners.
As part of Central Functions, you will be part of the teams that support and enable our network of over 2,500 practices across 20 countries, driving operational excellence, innovation, and strategic impact across the business.
At IVC Evidensia, we're committed to creating a Positive Pawprint and we're looking for a Sustainability Reporting Manager to help bring our sustainability promise to life through robust, reliable, and forward‑thinking reporting.
This is a newly created role designed to support our evolving ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance) reporting objectives. Sitting within the Finance function but working hand‑in‑hand with Sustainability teams, this position sits at the exciting intersection of finance and sustainability—a rapidly emerging discipline with no fixed internal blueprint. You'll have the rare opportunity to build processes from the ground up and shape how a global organisation reports on sustainability.
What You'll Be Doing
Sustainability Reporting & Compliance
*Develop, document and maintain robust reporting processes and internal controls to ensure high‑quality, audit‑ready sustainability data.
*Lead continuous improvements to reporting mechanisms across global markets.
*Support the preparation of IVC Evidensia's annual sustainability statement and disclosures in the Annual Report & Accounts.
*Oversee the collection, validation and consolidation of sustainability data worldwide.
*Contribute to risk assessments and modelling of sustainability‑related financial and operational impacts.
*Support the external assurance process, liaising with auditors and internal stakeholders.
Regulatory Horizon Scanning & Advocacy
*Track, interpret and translate emerging sustainability reporting standards (e.g., CSRD, ISSB) into actionable internal requirements.
*Support senior leaders in developing the organisation's positions on new regulations and exposure drafts.
Stakeholder Engagement
*Act as a subject matter expert for sustainability reporting queries across Finance, Sustainability, Legal, Procurement, HR and external stakeholders.
*Partner with markets and specialist teams to define and deliver reporting requirements.
*Support training and capability‑building to strengthen sustainability understanding across the organisation.
What You Bring
*Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or relevant MSc.
*4+ years' experience in finance, sustainability reporting, or audit within a large organisation.
*Knowledge of ESG reporting frameworks (e.g., ESRS, CSRD, TCFD, ISSB).
*A proactive, adaptable approach, thriving in a fast‑changing regulatory landscape.
*Strong analytical, organisational and project management capabilities.
*Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex requirements.
*High attention to detail and the ability to produce clear, concise reports.
Why Is This Role Different
It's brand new — you'll shape it from day one.
It sits at the crossroads of finance and sustainability, offering exposure to a rapidly growing global discipline.
You'll influence group-wide sustainability reporting standards, building processes that will define how we deliver on our sustainability promise. There will be a requirement to travel to the Keynsham office on occasion.
