Position Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a General Pharmacy Practice Support Worker based across East Ayrshire. This role is essential in supporting NHS Ayrshire & Arran in delivering Primary Care Pharmacotherapy Services, ensuring the safe and effective use of medicines.
Key Responsibilities
* Support practice pharmacists and pharmacy technicians with routine tasks, some requiring technical expertise.
* Discuss medication use with patients over the phone.
Qualifications and Skills
* National 5 (or equivalent) in English, Maths, Chemistry, Biology (A or B pass), with moderate arithmetic skills.
* Good IT skills and willingness to undertake further SVQ units at SCQF level 6, including Primary Care units.
* Strong communication skills (oral and written).
* Ability to operate computer systems and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Requirements
A full UK/EU/EEA driving licence and car ownership are essential for this role.
