The company has a strong management team with many long-serving employees who progressed internally from trainee level.The Role Quantity SurveyorWorking within the commercial team, you will support the delivery of civil engineering and residential groundworks projects.
The role is office based with regular site visits and suits someone accurate, organised and commercially focused.ResponsibilitiesRegular site visits and liaison with the production teamPreparing and reviewing tenders with estimatorsProviding early cost advice on variations and ensuring only authorised works proceedOffering technical advice on drawings and ensuring correct project documentationManaging commercial aspects of assigned projects to maximise valueWorking closely with Finance and ProcurementCompleting commercial accountabilities accurately and on timeAnalysing rates and prices and agreeing variations or compensation eventsIdentifying potential debt risks and negotiating financial reconciliationForecasting monthly and annual profit figuresSupporting the safety team in applying safety policy and addressing concernsBuilding strong client relationshipsAllocating work to subcontractors and assisting with procurementThe Right PersonGCSEs AC / 59 including Maths and EnglishExperienced Quantity Surveyor with residential groundworks experienceGood understanding of construction contractual termsStrong Excel skillsStrong mathematical abilityExcellent interpersonal skillsConfident analysing data and producing cost value reportsTPBN1_UKTJ
