Job Title: After School Club Sporty Playworker
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Fairholme Primary School, Feltham TW14 8ET
Hours: 13.75 hours per week during term time (with the opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week during holiday clubs, if desired)
Pay: Up to £12.21 per hour
Contract: Term Time only or fixed 52‑week permanent contract
Working Hours During Term Time
15:00 – 17:45 Monday to Friday
Hours During Holiday Clubs
8:30 – 17:30 Monday to Friday

Responsibilities
* Plan and execute structured, exciting activities that encourage maximum participation – multi‑sports, games, arts and crafts, structured play, and more – ensuring they are age‑appropriate.
* Follow all health and safety protocols and policies, including signing‑in and signing‑out processes.
* Provide refreshments for the children.
* Create an inclusive, fun atmosphere for the children from picking them up from school to safely delivering them back to their parents or caregivers.
* Ensure all activities are age and skill‑appropriate while prioritising safety, including proper use of equipment and space.
* Set up and pack away play spaces, moving furniture and play equipment as needed.
* Keep all health and safety protocols and documentation up to date, including accident and incident forms.
* Maintain proper sign‑in and sign‑out procedures for all children in care.
* Communicate professionally and authentically with team members, parents, children, and schools.
* Conduct regular maintenance and safety checks of all equipment and kit.
* Take the lead in championing health and safety, providing first aid where necessary.
* Keep all information and documents related to children confidential and secure.
* Inspire team members and children to have fun, be active, and lead an active lifestyle.
Additional Information
This role requires compliance with the Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) policy and is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974. You must provide two references – one from your most recent employer and one from a childcare setting (if applicable). A DBS check will be conducted on your behalf.
