A growing and ambitious electrical contractor specialising in Renewables installations, repair, and maintenance across domestic and commercial sites. Theyre seeking a Senior Electrician / Electrical Supervisor to join their expanding team. Operating across domestic and commercial projects, the successful Electrician will be working on a variety of installations, and testing, particularly within the renewable energy sector, including ongoing solar, heat pumps, and EV projects across the Essex and surrounding counties.
Senior Electrician Responsibilities
: Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, and equipment
: Carry out Solar PV installations on domestic and commercial properties
: Oversee installation of Solar PV, EV Chargers, and Heat Pumps
: Diagnose faults and troubleshoot electrical issues efficiently
: Testing and commissioning of newly installed renewables systems
: Inspect electrical systems to identify hazards, defects, or required remedial works
: Ensure all work is completed in line with current regulations and safety standards
: Working from home or the office one to two days a week, maintaining accurate job records and documentation, reviewing testing documentation etc.
Senior Electrician Requirements
: 18th Edition (BS 7671)
: NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations (or equivalent)
: Full UK Driving Licence
: Based within a commutable distance of Chelmsford
: Good communication skills when dealing with clients and colleagues
: 2391 Inspection and Testing (or equivalent)
: Experience working in a supervisory position (Advantageous)
: 2919 EV Charging Installation qualification (Advantageous)
Senior Electrician Remuneration
: Salary GBP 45,000 : GBP 50,000
: 40 hour working week
: Company vehicle : including private usage
: 20 days holiday + BH
