Job Description:
Key responsibilities of the Finance Project – Technical Lead:
* Actively participate in the project team to partner with an external supplier for the successful implementation of a new finance system, adhering to agreed timelines.
* Coordinate workshops during the design phase to ensure requirements and configurations are well documented.
* Plan and manage the migration of historical data from the old to the new system.
* Implement and document new processes and controls supporting the finance system.
* Oversee the integration of the solution within existing systems architecture, working closely with systems experts and the DDaT Department.
* Ensure all security controls are implemented, providing appropriate user access based on roles and departments.
* Provide training and support for users, including creating training materials for post-implementation access.
* Develop standard and bespoke reports as needed.
* Manage finance staff by allocating work, monitoring results, providing feedback, and resolving performance issues. Ensure team skills are sufficient to cover absences and maintain business continuity.
* Mentor and support staff development through the Personal Development Review process, ensuring effective training and skill enhancement.
Our Identity
What we are looking for in our Finance Project – Technical Lead:
* Experience in an accountancy environment.
* AAT qualification or equivalent.
* Experience with computerized financial systems administration.
* Ability to handle a varied workload within deadlines.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for managing complex issues.
* Adherence to legislative regulations related to financial matters.
