We’re hiring for a mobile Optical Assistant role covering the Northwest – mainly Manchester and surrounding areas – Monday to Friday only, 8:30am-5:30pm. No weekends. No late nights. Just a proper work-life balance, a company car, and a bonus scheme that actually rewards you.
What You’ll Be Doing:
You’ll be out on the road, working alongside an Optometrist in care homes, delivering proper eye care to patients who can’t get to a practice. You’ll be seeing around 18 patients a day, offering top-tier service, and making a real difference in people’s lives.
This is ideal if you’re independent, organised, and looking for something different to the usual retail grind. Every day is varied, every patient matters, and you’ll finish on time, every time.
What You’ll Need:
” Must be able to drive – you’ll be taking the Optom out with you
” Solid optical experience – confident with pre-screening, dispensing and patient care
” A calm, friendly approach – many patients are elderly or vulnerable
” Someone who’s professional but down-to-earth – no corporate waffle
