Position
We are looking for an experienced peri‑operative nurse to develop and utilise existing clinical, leadership and management skills within the Perioperative Clinical Educator Role (Band 7) within the Institute of Neurological Sciences.
Responsibilities
The post holder will support the Lead Nurse to ensure that clinical practice is evidence based, all staff are supported to achieve and maintain a high standard of specialist peri‑operative knowledge and skill and meet mandatory training requirements. The post holder will have a key role in:
* supporting and developing the Band 4 Scrub Practitioner role;
* coordinating programmes of education and NHSGGC Educational Programmes;
* coordinating student ODP and newly qualified practitioners programmes;
* coordinating the NHSGGC newly qualified nurse programme; and
* implementing corporate Practice Development Programmes.
Qualifications
Essential for this post is:
* significant experience and knowledge of scrub, recovery and anaesthetic roles within Neurosurgery, OMFS, Recovery and Neuro‑interventional radiology;
* clinical supervisor role contributing to supporting the well‑being of the wider nursing team within the Neuroscience Services.
