Responsibilities
* Deliver Expert Witness services by assisting quantum experts in producing expert quantum reports for adjudication, litigation, and other dispute resolution.
* Assist in the Recovery service by supporting contract and commercial specialists with strategic advice for clients whose projects or major programmes are in commercial distress.
* Undertake detailed analysis of construction projects in the UK and internationally as part of a team.
* Develop your career through mentoring and a range of learning options, with opportunities to support on strategic objectives and potentially become an Expert Witness or lead on Recovery services.
* Maintain a high standard of work that can withstand scrutiny by other parties.
* Demonstrate a forensic and exploratory mindset, strong construction industry knowledge, understanding of construction contracts and the law, and a collaborative, transparent approach.
Qualifications
* Relevant construction and engineering experience (roughly +7 years).
* Construction-related degree and/or legal qualification.
* Experience in developing and pursuing claims up or down the supply chain.
* Ability to understand and articulate client requirements and desired outcomes.
* Ability to critically analyse project and programme performance and identify root causes of distress.
* Effective stakeholder management with clients and at all levels of the supply chain; capable of chairing meetings as necessary.
* Experience reviewing contemporaneous project records to establish quantum for claims and disputes.
* Working knowledge of relevant applications/tools (e.g., BCIS, Cost-X, CEMAR).
* Contribute to client meetings and assist clients, lawyers, and counsel in developing positions as required.
* Support drafting of detailed expert witness reports for formal dispute resolution.
* Support colleagues with project deliverables and undertake R&D of emerging technologies.
* Stay abreast of developments within own technical area; provide direction to staff working on tasks.
* Support interfaces with clients and other consultants at all project stages.
* Act as an ambassador championing the Contract Services delivered by Turner & Townsend in the industry.
