Broxburn Primary School is non-denominational and serves the community of Broxburn. It is part of the Broxburn Academy Cluster. The school roll is with pupils being organised into fifteen classes (P1-7) and 86 children in our Early Learning Centre. Our staffing includes the Head Teacher, Depute Head Teacher, 2 x Principal Teacher, 21 teachers, 5 PSWs and 9 ELC Practitioners. The school office is staffed by an administrative assistant and a clerical assistant.
Our vision for our Early Learning Centre is to inspire, achieve and care for our children. This develops the four capacities within Curriculum for Excellence and supports wellbeing. We strive to do all we can to ensure that our children receive an excellent education. We encourage children to find pleasure in learning and playing together, to understand, respect and value the different cultures and backgrounds that enrich our school and its community.
You will be available to work a weekly shift pattern. This post may have the capacity to be extended beyond the fixed term. This role will involve a range of universal and targeted support in learning. Please note you will be required to work school holidays when our ELC setting will remain open. You will be part of the ELC team line managed by two Early Years Officers and a Depute Head Teacher, alongside an Early Years Childcare Area Support Manager during school holidays. You will be joining a hardworking and committed staff team.
