As a Remote Interpreter, your main responsibility will be facilitating communication between clients and individuals with limited English proficiency. You will work remotely, providing interpreting services over the phone or via video calls. Your excellent language skills will enable you to interpret conversations accurately and efficiently in various professional settings.
Please note: This is a self-employed position.
Requirements
The Job
* Interpreting between English and your native language over the phone or video.
* Providing interpretation services to clients and customers with limited English proficiency.
* Interpreting for legal, health, and local government services.
* Checking the non-English speakers' understanding after each sentence.
* Providing conference, consecutive, and public service interpreting.
* Delivering accurate, confidential, and impartial interpreting services.
* Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to the Code of Conduct.
About You
* Fluent in English and another language.
* Have the right to work in the UK.
* Age 21 or over.
* Qualifications such as:
o Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI)
o Community Interpreting
o NRPSI, CIOL, ITI registration (advantageous)
o Degree in Translation/Interpreting/Languages
o Other interpreting-related qualifications
