The Science department delivers a broad and ambitious curriculum across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, with strong uptake at GCSE and A Level. Practical work is central to teaching and learning, and the successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring lessons run safely, efficiently, and to a high professional standard. The Role Preparing equipment, materials, and chemicals for practical lessons across KS3–KS5 Supporting complex practical investigations and demonstrations Ensuring safe storage, handling, and disposal of chemicals in line with COSHH regulations Maintaining laboratory equipment and coordinating servicing or repairs Managing stock control and ordering supplies efficiently Assisting teachers during practical sessions where required Maintaining detailed compliance and health & safety documentation Supporting the smooth day-to-day organisation of the Science department The Ideal Candidate Will Have Previous experience in a laboratory or school-based technician role Strong understanding of laboratory health & safety and COSHH procedures Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail Confidence supporting GCSE and A Level practical work A proactive, reliable, and professional approach Salary Competitive salary (dependent on experience) Application Please submit your CV outlining your relevant experience.
