Batch & Furnace Yard Operator

Role description
Batch and Furnace team member, operating departmental equipment and vehicles, accepting deliveries, stock management supporting activities required for departmental function.
Responsibilities:
1. Operate the departmental equipment to transport stock around the yard area.
2. Maintain stock in the yard area.
3. Communicate with supervision and work colleagues to maintain an effective communication flow.
4. Identify problems and ensure efficient deliveries alongside onsite support team.
5. Carry out housekeeping in accordance with company hygiene rules.
6. Comply with company health and safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
7. Departmental testing of materials and glass required for process.
Required skills / qualifications:
8. Ability to complete material acceptance procedures and testing.
9. Ability to operate departmental vehicles.
10. Ability to maintain delivery systems and material storage including manual procedures.
11. Good communication skills.
