Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team in delivering exceptional culinary experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food production and culinary arts, with a proven ability to manage kitchen operations effectively. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing food preparation, ensuring food safety standards are met, and fostering a positive team environment.
Duties
* Supervise and manage kitchen staff, ensuring high standards of food preparation and presentation.
* Oversee daily kitchen operations, including inventory management, food ordering, and cost control.
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment.
* Train and mentor kitchen staff in cooking techniques, food safety practices, and hospitality standards.
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and guest satisfaction.
* Monitor food quality during preparation and service to uphold the restaurant's reputation for excellence.
Skills
* Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen environment.
* Strong background in food production, including menu planning and recipe development.
* Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse group of individuals.
* Proficient in food preparation techniques with extensive cooking experience.
* Solid understanding of culinary principles and hospitality practices.
* Demonstrated leadership abilities with a focus on fostering teamwork and collaboration.
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices within the culinary industry.
* Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable, along with a passion for delivering outstanding dining experiences.
