Post of Part-time Receptionist at St Mary's Calne Sports Club
Part-time receptionist (average 18 hours per week, weekday evenings and alternate weekends)
St Mary's Calne Sports Club has an indoor swimming pool, fitness suite, sports hall and dance studio. The facility is used by the pupils of St Margaret's Prep and St Mary's Calne and the wider community on a membership basis.
We are seeking a professional and friendly Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our clients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing various administrative tasks. This role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
Responsibilities
* Greet and welcome visitors in a warm and professional manner.
* Answer incoming calls, directing them to the appropriate personnel while maintaining excellent phone etiquette.
* Manage the reception area, ensuring it is tidy and presentable at all times.
* Operate user-friendly, computerised membership and booking systems.
* Cash handling and end of day reconciliation processes.
* Be familiar with all front of house management procedures.
* Handle correspondence, including emails, ensuring timely responses.
Qualifications
* A professional, friendly and helpful approach is required.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Demonstrated ability to maintain professionalism under pressure.
* A keen eye for detail and accuracy in data entry tasks.
* Experience of working in a similar role is preferred.
