Techniche Global are supporting a leading UK defence and aerospace organisation with the appointment of a Flight Test Engineer Instructor to support the Empire Test Pilots’ School at MOD Boscombe Down, Wiltshire.

This is a rare opportunity to join one of the world’s most respected flight test training organisations, working alongside highly experienced Test Pilot and Flight Test Engineer instructors.
You will play a key role in training and mentoring the next generation of flight test professionals, delivering both ground-based instruction and airborne training to international Test Pilot and Flight Test Engineer students.
While current aircraft activity is primarily rotary wing, candidates with fixed wing flight test experience and strong technical knowledge will also be considered.
The Role
Deliver classroom instruction on flight test principles, aircraft systems, performance and stability & control
Provide airborne instructional support during flight test training sorties
Assess student performance and deliver detailed technical debriefs
Mentor international students throughout the course programme
Contribute to the development and modernisation of ETPS training syllabi
Support continuous improvement within the instructional team About You
Qualified Flight Test Engineer from a recognised Test Pilot School (ETPS, USNTPS, USAFTPS or EPNER) or equivalent
Engineering or Science degree
Experience working in the flight test environment
Strong understanding of aircraft performance, systems and flight test methodologies
Comfortable explaining complex technical topics in both classroom and flight environments
