We are looking for an enthusiastic volunteer to lead the development of the Trust's strategy on biodiversity, nature, conservation and the environment.

What are we looking for?
Substantial experience of biodiversity, nature conservation and environmental matters is essential. A good communicator with excellent presentation and organisational skills to help liaise with relevant statutory bodies, local authorities, Natural England, Wiltshire and Oxfordshire Wildlife, Woodland Trust, Swindon Community Forest and to set up studies using organisations such as Stantec, Peter Brett Associates and Stewart at Ellendale. The candidate should live in Wiltshire or Oxfordshire, having a good knowledge of the area through which the canal route runs.
What will you be doing?
The successful candidate will build a team, drawing from all our Branches, volunteers and experts from outside the Trust to develop the WBCT biodiversity, nature conservation and environmental policy and strategy. You will also chair the environment hub (e-hub) and support funding applications for various biodiversity, nature conservation and environmental projects.
