Job Title: Depot Service Engineer Location: Bristol Job Type: Permanent Pay: £13.60 per hour overtime opportunities Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm About the Role We’re seeking a dedicated and skilled Depot Service Engineer to join our client’s team, working across their Bristol and Huntingdon depots. This is a hands-on role at the heart of depot operations — ensuring equipment is maintained to the highest standards, diagnosing and repairing faults, and keeping everything running smoothly. To succeed, you’ll need a strong work ethic, great attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Equipment Maintenance & Repair: Diagnose and repair faults on a variety of equipment, including planned maintenance tasks. Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain parts stock levels, ensuring availability when needed. Data Recording: Accurately log parts usage and job details via the company’s mobile system. Depot Support: Provide backup support across other depots when required to maintain service continuity. Workplace Standards: Keep the workshop clean, safe, and well organised in line with company safety protocols. Policy Compliance: Adhere to company policies, health & safety regulations, and quality standards. Additional Duties: Carry out other reasonable tasks as directed by the Depot Manager. What Our Client Is Looking For Previous experience in a similar role (equipment maintenance or depot operations preferred). Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams. Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational and prioritisation skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-moving environment. Flexibility to adapt to changing depot needs.
