Workshop Engineer
To carry out maintenance and repairs to equipment within the workshop, maintaining documentation of all works carried out in line with Health and Safety and Quality procedures.
Responsibilities include:
* Preparing FLTs to the standard required for STR rental and used sales, including ordering necessary spare parts efficiently.
* Adhering to all company H&S, Environmental, and site policies, procedures, and practices to ensure an environmentally safe workplace.
* Completing K1SS and all paperwork/IT systems accurately and within the stipulated time, including relevant order numbers.
* Liaising with management for authorization of parts and processing order numbers.
* Working independently without constant supervision.
* Ensuring all allocated work is completed on time and notifying the manager if behind schedule.
* Following all engineering standards, safe working practices, and company policies at all times.
* Maintaining accurate stock levels and movement records.
* Keeping company-issued equipment in satisfactory condition and reporting failures.
* Taking on additional duties as required by the manager to ensure smooth workshop operations.
* Performing any other duties as necessary related to the above responsibilities.
Tasks and Qualifications:
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a related occupation.
* Electrical, hydraulic, and/or mechanical competencies.
* Good communication skills for liaising with customers and colleagues.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Delivering tasks to a high standard with accuracy and attention to detail.
* A positive, proactive attitude and flexibility to adapt to changing needs.
* Commitment to providing first-class customer service.
* Desire to be a Linde/STILL brand ambassador.
