Adult Social Worker - Working Age Team
Merseyside
37 hours p/w
hybrid office & home working

About the role:
Working Age Adult Social Work is part of the Integrated Adult Social Care and Health Department, the service is responsible for Adults of Working Age, 18 -67 who have a diagnosis of a Learning Disability, Physical and Sensory Disability and an enduring Mental Health diagnosis. The service is also responsible for the statutory functions of the Mental Health Act 1983, the service runs the AMHP service, which runs up to 7.30/8pm on weekdays.
The service is looking for a qualified social worker with at least two years experience, who is able to undertake a caseload and fully contribute to the overall function of the service.
The candidate must have working knowledge and experience of the following; Care Act Assessments, Safeguarding Investigations, COPDOL work and 21A Challenge work.
The candidate will also be expected to take part on the duty rota, undertake reviews, and may from time to time be expected to support on the AMHP rota which may mean staying out after core hours.
In return the client offers monthly supervision/informal supervision, monthly team meetings, regular training and practice groups. It is a very well run service with a good supportive team atmosphere.

What you need:
1. A degree in Social Work or equivalent
2. Registered with Social Care Wales/ Social Work England
3. At least 3 years PQE permanent, direct employment within English LA
4. Completed relevant post-qualifying training
5. Enhanced DBS check
6. Excellent communication and written skills
