As a result, they are now looking to appoint a Commercial Assistant to join their head office team in Southampton. Commercial Assistant Job Description: This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop a career across both Estimating and Quantity Surveying, offering exposure to the full commercial lifecycle of projects. Youll work closely with both the pre-construction and commercial teams, supporting from tender stage through to final account. Key Responsibilities: Estimating Support: Assist in preparing tenders for groundworks and infrastructure packages Carry out take-offs and measurements from drawings Obtain and review supplier and subcontractor quotations Support in building cost plans and tender submissions Commercial / QS Support: Assist with cost reporting and project tracking Support valuations, variations, and final accounts Help manage subcontractor packages and payments Maintain accurate commercial records and documentation Candidate Criteria: Experience in a Commercial Assistant, Trainee QS, or Estimating role Exposure to groundworks, civil engineering, or residential construction (preferred) Strong numerical and analytical skills Good working knowledge of Excel Highly organised with strong attention to detail Ambitious and keen to develop within a commercial role Whats On Offer: Clear progression into Estimator or Quantity Surveyor roles Exposure to large-scale residential groundworks projects Supportive and experienced team environment Long-term career prospects within a growing business Competitive salary and benefits package Why Apply?
