Clerkenwell Health is a specialist clinical trial site network leading the way in innovative mental health and CNS trials. We’re proud to be launching our flagship site in Doncaster, the first of its kind, built in partnership with the NHS, combining both public and private healthcare innovation. This marks a major milestone for us and the start of many more ground-breaking projects across the UK. We’re looking for an experienced and proactive Site Director to lead this new site, overseeing clinical delivery and daily operations. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of research at the intersection of mental health, community care, and clinical innovation. What You’ll Be Doing: Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of our newly established clinical research facility in Doncaster Oversee delivery of early-phase trials (including CTIMPs and non-CTIMPs) focused on mental health and CNS Line manage a multidisciplinary site team including nurses, clinicians and support staff Ensure compliance with ICH-GCP, MHRA and NHS frameworks Act as the key liaison between Clerkenwell Health, NHS partners, sponsors, and vendors Drive start-up, trial execution, close-out, and quality oversight Maintain a patient-first approach while ensuring research excellence Help define and refine operational models to replicate success across future UK sites Support with the final set-up of this cutting-edge new facility (manage final furnishings, equipment, new vendor relationships etc) Build the entire trial site team around you - lead on recruitment and coaching of new staff What We’re Looking For: Proven experience managing a clinical research facility or site, ideally with exposure to CNS or mental health trials Demonstrable ability to over-achieve on patient recruitment targets Entrepreneurial attitude and great problem solver Deep understanding of UK clinical trial regulation / GCP Excellent leadership, operational and communication skills Clinical or nursing background is desirable but not essential Passionate about transforming mental health care through innovative research Join us at the forefront of mental health research, in a role that combines purpose, innovation and real-world impact.
